Services

Every garden has a story waiting to be told. I work closely with homeowners to shape outdoor spaces that feel personal, practical, and beautifully resolved. From concept sketches and planting plans to full landscape redesigns, my process blends creativity with technical detail to deliver gardens that grow better year after year.

Design

Transform your outdoor space with thoughtful, creative garden and landscape design tailored to your property, lifestyle and surroundings. From focused design packages to complete landscape redesigns, I create practical, inspiring spaces that feel considered, balanced and beautifully connected to their setting.

Each project can include site analysis, concept development, layout plans, planting schemes and 3D visualisations, giving you a clear vision for how your garden or outdoor space can work at its best. Whether you are reimagining a whole garden, planning around a renovation or extension, or enhancing a commercial property, I develop design options and recommendations that unlock the full potential of the space.

PROCESS
1.

Consultation

I will visit you at a convenient time, listen to your ideas and make initial suggestions about your project’s potential.

My portfolio will give you an insight into the design process and what you can expect. The initial consultation is free of charge.

Fee

I will write a quotation with a description of your brief and the services I can offer.

My fees vary according to the size, nature and complexity of the project.

2.

Phase One

I will carry out a basic survey of the site or advise on the commission of a survey if necessary. I then prepare a 2D plan for the garden with proposals for hard and soft landscaping, accompanied by sketches of images of similar features.

At a return meeting, I present the plan and discuss the character of the proposals and the layout, materials and appearance. Any changes to the design are charged at an hourly rate and quoted in advance.

3.

Phase Two

Depending on the design features construction drawings and specifications may be required.

I can also provide planting plans with lists of names, plant sizes and quantities.

4.
Accreditation

I’ve passed the strict accreditation process for the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers, showing that I have the high levels of training and skill a top designer requires. I am experienced in providing a complete design service, including planting plans, design of hard landscape and advice on budgets and appointment of landscapers.

Experience

My experience in designing public projects such as playgrounds, drawing artist’s impressions and planning applications enable me to bring added value to garden design projects – for instance designing gardens with areas for children’s play and advising on permissions required for features such as driveways and walls.

I have particular skills in choosing plants that will thrive in conditions that vary from coastal to mountainside, and for schemes where projects needed to be sustainable and low maintenance. I can help clients to become gardeners and try growing their own food and, if required, provide maintenance plans to guide the projects into maturity.
